My name is Keishon and I’m a female reader who lives in the U.S. I love reading crime fiction. I especially enjoy reading Scandinavian crime fiction. I do read and review mainly European and American crime fiction. I’m a big fan of Jo Nesbø’s Harry Hole series (The Redbreast) and Arnaldur Indridason’s Detective Erlendur series (Jar City). I’ve also loved two TV shows: The Wire and The Shield.
The goal: to discover, discuss and share awesome crime fiction stories with other readers in my community. What you will see here is my opinion on books and whatever else that grabs my attention. I enjoy discussing books and I enjoy reading other people’s perspectives on the topics that interest me. I’m an old school blogger, however. I blog sporadically. I blog on books only and dabble in commentary when the mood strikes me. I wish I had the time to do interviews and giveaways but I don’t at the moment. By all means, take a look around, this is essentially a public reading journal. Your thoughts/opinions are welcome here, authors and readers alike. You may contact me at any time. Thank You.
Additionally, I don’t solicit ARC’s so please assume every book is bought by me unless otherwise noted. St. Martin’s Press and Minotaur Books do send me unsolicited books upon occasion. However. I have a library of ebooks that I bought that could keep me busy for at least five years and I plan to read them all.
Hi Keishon
I have just enjoyed reading 3 books by Scandanavian author Asa Larsson. They are set in Sweden. Haven’t read any other Scandanavian authors but am looking forward to trying them out. I will try and check out the ones you have listed. I have just discovered a website called Stop, Your Killing Me! which is great resource for crime/mystery books. What I love about it is I am interested in Medieval crime (ie. C.J Sansom – this was recommended by Sarah of Monkey Bear reviews) and they have a historical index with books set in particular time periods etc. I am looking forward to your upcoming reviews.
Hey Kaytee, I love Stop, You’re Killing Me! and I subscribe to their newsletter. They are responsible for turning me onto the excellent Jo Nesbo (The Redbreast, etc) and getting me obsessed with Scandinavian crime fiction with their segment of “What We are Reading.” I have one Asa Larsson in my stacks so I am looking forward to reading him as well. Plan to do a post today about the authors I see that are notable authors within the field of crime fiction which I see (and I could be wrong) is mostly women.
