There’s a long, rambling Esquire interview where Daniel Craig briefly discusses the most anticipated movie this year, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, the U.S. version that’s coming out right around Christmas time. I’m not surprised by Daniel Craig’s shock at how violent and dark this film promises to be because… I saw the movie poster (warning: NSFW). Yes, yes I plan to see this movie. Don’t judge me.

That Lisbeth looks very scary to me. And not in an attractive way…
I didn’t care for the movie poster either.
I’ll probably see the movie too, even though I’ve seen the Swedish original twice. I agree about the poster, seems somewhat to be pornifying Lisbeth. (There was lots about this movie in the Times this weekend too, but as they put their website behind a paywall and you can’t even link to it, i can’t provide a link!).
I really enjoyed the Swedish version, too, Maxine. No loophole for the Times article? I know I’d have loved to have read it.
Maybe I’ll be watching with my hands over my eyes? Even though I’ve seen the Swedish versions, Craig’s comments about how shocked he was is alarming.
That would be “are alarming.” Sheesh.
You an I both. Although for me I’m not so easily scared or shocked but I’m willing to bet this will probably shock the crap out of me…so we shall see.
Loved the movie and the cast
Hi Sonya, did you watch the European version as well? Thanks for the feedback.
