Just throwing this out into the ether.
I check often for Patricia Highsmith’s backlist in the digital catalog (read as Amazon Kindle, etc).
Still no The Talented Mr. Ripley in digital format and I would love to read it on that thing over there to the right. I have the paperback edition but…it’s just not the same.
The digital era is here to stay people. Somebody work on getting her books in digital format please. Thanks. Aside from that, I did find one Kindle title by Patricia Highsmith under a pen name? of Claire Morgan. The title is The Price of Salt, that’s said to be a lesbian novel from reading the reviews. Of all the books to test the market with…just give us her mystery titles please.

Yes! I’d love to see her Ripley books released as ebooks. I read them years ago from the library. Another author I’d like to see released in epub is Dorothy L. Sayers. I’ve only found them in Kindle format.
Yeah, but Kindle seems to make it easier to convert to a digital file more than any other publisher out there. I don’t even bother looking through Sony Reader Store anymore.
Really? Despite repeated instructions, I’ve never managed to strip Kindle DRM.
No I meant that author’s are able to publish/convert their books to Kindle format much easier than anywhere else which is why I think it’s seen there first and plus I read where an author said that Kindle is harder to break explaining his preference. Kindle just seems to be the preferred format for authors and readers these days…
It´s good to hear some readers like e-books. I have seen so many readers complain about the poor formatting, typos etc recently that I hardly dare telling anyone I am another one of those criminal self-publishers of ebooks.
Yeah, but some of us truly don’t care if it’s not agency priced. I am a die hard ebook reader. I’d rather read a digital book than paper any day of the week though.
