“Iceland’s Answer to Stieg Larsson”

Supposedly it’s Yrsa Sigurdardottir. Will the comparisons never cease? Apparently not.

    Sigurdadottir? Really?

And, hey, did you read the Nesbo article in yesterday’s Wall Street Journal?

    • Keishon says:

No! Must go look for this. Thanks. Have you read Sigurdadottir? I have one digital book by her to try.

      • Trisha says:

I’ve read the first book, didn’t finish the second.

Besides not really seeing any basis for comparison (outside of the amateur sleuth angle), I just don’t think she’s as good a writer as Arnaldur Indridason, who I think is more similar to Larsson in tone.

        • Keishon says:

I never see Arnaldur Indridason mentioned in the label wars and he’s an excellent Scandinavian writer. If you come back to read this comment, have you read Asa Larsson yet? She’s my new find.

I haven’t read her stuff yet, but I intend to. Let me know what you think.
